Perfecting Your Wedding Dance (Continued...)

If you want to go one step further you can ask a friend that you trust for their opinion and if they have suggestions. For some of you, you will prefer if wedding day is the day when anyone will get to see the dance.

All the while you are taking the dancing lessons you should be looking for ways to improve what you are already doing. And to make these improvements while remembering all the other improvements you have made prior to the new one as well.

Also get feedback from your partner. Make sure that they are comfortable especially with any movements where you are supporting them or they have to support your weight.

Be ok with getting feedback from your partner on how you can make improvements. They may be able to see things that you cannot so it is helpful to hear their opinion.

Also at that moment the instructor may be concentrated on something else, so your partner can point out other elements that the instructor has not discussed with you yet.

In later lessons and practice sessions it can be a good idea to practice the wedding dance in similar attire to what you'll be wearing on the day.

By this I mean the footwear and not the wedding dress itself! So try dancing in shoes if you're a guy and heels similar to your wedding shoes if you're the bride to be.

This will help you notice which moves need more care when you are wearing your outfits on the day and so you don't slip up in these places!

You'll know you're ready when your wedding dance starts feeling fairly easy to do, is easy to remember and you are comfortable doing it as a couple. This is a good sign for times ahead!

If you're not quite there yet, you may need to schedule a few more lessons or it may just be that you need to do some more practice!
